THE

REVITALIZATION STRATEGY

A community-driven effort to revitalize Binghamton's First Ward neighborhood

What is the Revitalization Strategy?

The FIRST WARD REVITALIZATION STRATEGY is a long-term plan that will examine neighborhood conditions and trends and identify opportunities for business development, reuse of vacant and underutilized sites and improvements to overall quality-of-life. This community driven planning effort will identify where the neighborhood wants to be in 2035.

This effort is being funded through the New York State Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Program, which helps communities identify end uses and solutions for the vacant or underutilized sites within their neighborhoods. To determine the future of the neighborhood, community members must provide their input throughout the planning process.
